All visitors must have a passport valid for at least six months after the date of entry into Malaysia. It is important to note that Malaysia does not recognise dual nationality and entry can be refused if you are travelling on more than one passport.

Travellers are advised that travel between Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah or Sarawak, or between Sabah and Sarawak will require passing through additional customs procedures.

Malaysia is strict on immigration, and overstaying your authorised stay allowance, even by a little is treated very seriously and could lead to fines, detention and deportation.

US citizens have unlimited visa exemption into Malaysia.

Citizens of Israel are denied entry into Malaysia without special permission.
